A George III oak cased long case automaton clock, circa 1780, 11 inch brass arched dial with black Roman numerals, half hour markers, minute track and five minute numerals, matte centre with date aperture, subsidiary seconds and signed name plaque engraved 'Willm Sayer Devizes', applied spandrels, the arch with painted roundel of a bearded 'Old Man Time' whose eyes move back and forth with the beat of the clock, twin train four pillar 8 day movement chiming on a bell, the hood with broken swan neck pediment and cast brass roundels with urn surmount, reed columns flanking the glazed hood door, the case later profusely carved with floral friezes, borders and decorative roundels, arched full length trunk door, raised on shaped bracket feet, with two weights, pendulum and winder, 45 by 21 by 214cm high.
Frank Palou (French, 19th century): a pair of hand coloured engravings, one depicting terriers staring at a mousehole, titled 'Rough and Ready', published London 1888 by E.E. Leggatt, the other showing the terriers staring at a mouse sitting on an early bell telephone box, titled 'Are You There?', published London 1905 by Leggatt Bros, both encircled by various humorous printed scenes, each both signed in pencil, framed 54 by 48.5cm. An Early Twentieth Century Emerald and Diamond Bracelet, a central cluster of grain set old cut diamonds within a halo frame of calibré cut emeralds, between diamond set bell flower motif links, on a long and short bar link bracelet, total estimated diamond weight 1.50 carat approximately, length 23.5cm see illustration . The bracelet is in good condition. It is not hallmarked or stamped, valued as gold. It fastens with a box clasp, with a figure-of-eight clasp and safety chain. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour G/H, clarity VS1/VS2. Gross weight 12.3 grams. Condition Report made 17th October 2018.
An Early Twentieth Century Diamond Necklace, as old cut diamond set bell flowers to a diamond set crescent, on a later 9 carat white gold chain necklace, total estimated diamond weight 0.55 carat approximately, length 51cm see illustration . The necklace is in good condition, the central section is converted from a brooch and set on a later chain as a necklace. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I, clarity SI1/SI2. A rare screen used original prop ' Bell ' motorcycle helmet from BBC Sitcom ' Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em ', as worn by Michael Crawford in his iconic role as Frank Spencer. The 1970's Bell helmet features a visor to front, decal to top and various original labels. The helmet is accompanied by a letter from Crawford, on the official ' Michael Crawford International Fan Club ' headed paper, stating it was used in the episode ' King Of The Road ' (aka ' Demon King '). The letter is signed by Crawford. The left side of the helmet has also been signed by Crawford, who has added ' S.M.D.A ' underneath his autograph. Showing light signs of wear from use and storage, and some foam degradation to interior, the helmet is largely in very good condition. A rare item of BBC comedy history.
An oak and mahogany eight day longcase clock, swan neck pediment, mahogany crossbanded trunk door, 13-inch painted arched Roman numeral dial inscribed W.Wain Alfreton, seconds dial and date aperture, corners painted with pink roses and the arch depicting a lady holding a lyre, four pillar movement with attached Walker & Hughes falseplate, anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, possibly a later case, 213cm high 03.09.18, Pediment with chips and cracks to the veneers, hood door with a small hole to the bottom edge, door with small cracks and chips to veneers, case sides and plinth with small cracks, trunk door escutcheon is damaged, later skirting/feet, dial is rubbed in parts and with scratches, painted dial surfaces have been re-touched in parts, possibly a later case, with pendulum and two weights.
Joshua Farrer - a George III mahogany eight day longcase clock, the 11" brass dial with date aperture and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, the arched pediment with pierced cherub decoration, the movement striking on a bell, the hood with a swan neck pediment, the case with boxwood inlay, 2 x weights, pendulum, height 240 cm. The Farrer family of clockmakers are numerous and a very complicated group to understand. They began in and around Pontefract, where they mostly worked, though there is indication that the first Farrers learned their trade in the Halifax area, perhaps under the Ogden family. The first Farrers, Abraham and William, were working in Pontefract by the 1690s. These were no country clocksmiths. They were highly proficient, fully conversant with the best London practices and styles of the day and were quite capable of making top quality clockwork. They were followed by three or perhaps four more generations each with numerous practitioners of the craft. Joshua Farrer, born at Pontefract about 1771, also worked in Doncaster and died in 1838.
An early 20th century French variegated pink marble and gilt metal clock garniture, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, the movement stamped JUST and numbered 2834, 6, striking on a bell, the barrel case with applied gilt metal mounts, raised on two pillars to a rectangular base, together with a matching pair of urns, sunburst pendulum, key, height 46 cm. JUST is a brand name of Hour Lavigne, who were Frances largest clock and timepiece manufacturer in France with over 800 employees at the end of the 19th century.

Wreghit, Patrington - a George III mahogany and oak cased eight day longcase clock, the 13" painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the movement striking on a bell, the hood with a swan neck pediment, to a boxwood strung case, height 228 cm, key, 2 x weights, pendulum, please note the dial is partially detached from the movement. John Wreighitt was made free in 1822 and listed as a clock maker from 1823 - 1840, although painted dial clocks from 1780 are known by him.
Samuel Atkinson, Bridlington - a George III eight day oak case longcase clock, the 12" brass dial with subsidiary seconds dial, strike/silent dial, date aperture, and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, the movement striking on a bell, the hood with a swan neck pediment to a plain case, key, 2 x weights, pendulum, height 210 cm. Atkinson was a clock and watch maker as well as a whitesmith (a person who makes articles out of metal, especially tin) and operated between 1760 - 1800.
