A 19th century French Egyptian revival style mantel clock, the shaped base raised on four bun feet and with two beast supports, with an elaborate case surmounted with an urn, the whole with cold painted highlights, the twin barrel movement stamped GMF, striking a bell, 35.5c, high. *See clocks and watches proviso. CR - Case in fair condition. A little dusty and dirty but overall good. Movement not tested.
A 19th century French mantel clock, the marble base with a rococo style gilt spelter mount flanked by two putti and surmounted with a gilt spelter figure after Charles Levy, the twin barrel movement striking a bell, 62.5cm high. *See clocks and watches proviso. CR - Fair restored condition. Some sections retouched. Movement not tested. Marble appears good, with one piece which needs turning back to its original position. With service and restoration note from Graham Railton Clocks dated 2003.
Two wine glasses, one of baluster type with bell shape bowl and multiple knop stem on plain foot, the other with bell shape bowl, air twist stem, bubble knop and plain foot, mid 18th century, (2) the tallest glass measures 18.5cm high Condition report: The first glass has a chip to the rim only. The second glass has a chip to the foot only. No other damages.
A 19th century French alabaster mantel clock, the lyre shaped body surmounted with a putti holding a plumb weight aloft with his right arm, the weight being driven in an anticlockwise arc by the minute hand, the base mounted with items representing the liberal arts, with a twin barrel movement striking a bell, signed Brevete, 36cm high. *See clocks and watches proviso. CR - Overall poor. Base broken and reglued. Suspension for plumb resoldered. Plumb has been restrung. Movement not tested. Gilt elements mostly repainted. Viewing advised.

A George III scrivened MS vellum indenture and seal, of a dispute over land at Barton-upon-Humber, Lincolnshire, between William Graburn, Gentleman, the demandant, Henry Bell, Gentleman, the tenant and Thomas Nelson, the vouchee, the upper-left margin with a bust-length profile of George III, the whole inscribed within a framework of classical allegories of truth, justice and learning, extensive foliage, eagles and cornucopia, examined, stamped and sealed, 59cm x 83cm overall, the seal attached with in case en suite
Royal Artillery OR's "Bell Top" shako plate circa 1833-37. A rare large die-stamped brass example. Eight pointed star bearing Royal Arms with "Ubique" scroll atop a gun resting on a scroll inscribed "Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt". To reverse traces only of the original lead soldered iron loops. Original Orlando Norie Watercolour of George Bell Chicken Indian Naval Brigade Winning the Victoria Cross. A fine quality watercolour depicting Chicken within thick undergrowth surround. Three British soldiers on the ground dead. Three mutineers charge him, swords held high, Chicken can be seen thrusting his sword into one of them. Attractive modern glazed frame by Parker Gallery. VGC Overall size 64 x 54 cm. George Bell Chicken was a Civilian Master Mariner and at the age of 25 during the Indian Mutiny volunteered his services to the Indian Naval Brigade. On 27 September 1858 at Suhejnee, near Peroo, Bengal, Chicken attached himself to a mixed party of mounted troopers of the 1st Bengal police and 3rd Sikh Irregular Cavalry. They routed a force of about 100 mutineers and in the pursuit which followed Chicken forged ahead and charged into the middle of about 20 of the enemy, killing five before he was knocked off his horse and badly wounded. He would have been cut to pieces if four of the troopers had not galloped up and rescued him. His Victoria Cross now rests in the Lord Ashcroft Gallery at the Imperial War Museum.
