A screen-matched Helium-3 canister from Duncan Jones' sci-fi mystery Moon. Canisters were used to store the alternative energy source Helium-3. Several marks on the handle of the canister screen match to the scene in which Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) loaded a rocket and launched it to Earth at the beginning of the film. Made of wood and fibreglass, the canister features a circular carry handle, four protruding fins, bright orange-and-black decals, and "Sarang" stencilled on both sides of the body. The lot is finished in metallic faux-silver paint and has been intentionally weathered. There is minor damage to the top of the fins and the canister displays light scratching and scuffs. Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) solely oversaw an automated helium-3 mining facility on the Moon known as Sarang Station.Built by renowned film and television model maker Bill Pearson and his team, this detailed model featuring a ladder and adjustable satellite dish is constructed of resin and particle board painted grey with orange details. Rubber wiring is wound along the dish with "Lunar Industries" decals affixed throughout and grime applied to simulate moon dust. 20th Century Fox copyright information dated 1993 is moulded beneath the satellite. The model is in good but fragile overall condition with light chipping and scuffed paint from production and age. A Sarang Rover 01 model miniature from Duncan Jones' science-fiction film Moon. Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) traversed the surface of the moon in his Lunar Industries rover. Built by renowned film and television model maker Bill Pearson and his team, this two-part rover model is constructed of resin, plastic, and wood painted white, black, grey, and orange. The top piece features a moveable hatch with a resin Bell half-figure mounted inside and rubber-coated wiring connected to an LED headlight. The bottom piece features six wood and resin wheels with two headlights wired to an electronics pack concealed in the centre. Adhesive decals reading "Lunar Industries", "Mind Step", and "01" are affixed throughout. This model is in good overall condition with grime intentionally applied throughout to simulate moon dust, chipped resin and scuffed paint, and wiring cut by production. A train ticket from Robert Zemeckis' animated adventure film The Polar Express. Tickets were carried by the children who travelled as passengers aboard the Polar Express, and had to be punched by the Conductor (Tom Hanks). Physical props were used by live-performing actors, who dressed in Lycra suits covered in sensors for the purposes of motion capture. The actors and the props they held, like this ticket, were then overlaid with computer-generated 3D models. Numbered "0001225", the ticket is made of card and displays an image of the train on one side, and the words "Round Trip" above an image of a bell on the other. The word "Believe" - which featured on the Hero Boy's ticket - is printed on both sides, as if it has been punched into the ticket. There is minor wear present around the edges, and the lot comes with a letter of authenticity from a senior crew member and four premiere tickets, two for the New York premiere and two for the premiere afterparty. A hand-painted Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) self-fitting jacket costume design from the production of Robert Zemeckis' sci-fi sequel Back to the Future Part II. Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) brought Marty to the year 2015 and gave him a futuristic ensemble to help him blend in, including a self-drying, auto-resizing jacket. John Bell, whose other credits include Jurassic Park and Starship Troopers, hand-painted the design in watercolours. He worked from original sketches by costume designer Joanna Johnston, three pages of which are also included with the lot. The sketches are on white paper and rendered in pencil and ink. They feature four different poses and angles of Marty, along with annotations. One is labelled "Marty Junior", one "'Our' Marty" and one just "Marty". The drawing labelled "Marty" is partially coloured and also features sketches of specific jacket components. The three pages of sketches are stamped "Designed by Joanna Johnston". The pages have some minor creasing and curled corners from production use and age. This lot comes with a letter of authenticity from a senior crew member. The six blueprints include four stage layouts for the streets of Gotham City, focusing on road markings and signs; a floor plan for the interior of Wayne Manor; and a stage layout for the interior of the bell tower. Extensive annotations and measurements feature on all six blueprints, and marker pens have been used to colour code and outline the Gotham City street layouts. One sheet displays a detailed key listing several symbols, and the lot also includes a calendar outlining the schedule for the building of various sets. Presented in a rolled condition, the lot exhibits several small tears, creasing, edge wear and visible yellowing to the paper from age. Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons - Captain Ochre puppet head, screen used in the classic 1967 series Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons made by the Century 21 productions company of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, John Read and Reg Hill.These supermarionation puppets housed an internal mechanism which enabled mouth movements that could be synchronised with dialogue. The lower lips are hinged and held shut by a spring allowing movement in order for the puppet to talk. The rear of the heads are detachable to gain access to the internal mechanisms and are held in place by a magnet, the joints being covered by the hair.
