A Mid 19th Century Mahogany 8 Day Longcase Clock with Moon Phases. Rich'd Burn, Manchester. The hood with swan neck pediment over a blind frieze and fitted columns to a gothic shaped trunk door flanked by cluster columns on a plinth base with bracket feet. The 14 inch painted 3rd period dial with lunar/maritime phases to a Roman and Arabic dial with subsidiary seconds and date sector to a signed false plate and 4 pillar movement with anchor escapement, strike on a bell. Height 254cm. CR * Case - Slight losses throughout, 2 old splits to arch door. Slight warp & lift to plinth. No trunk door key or lock. Dial - Refreshed at some point. Movement - appears complete. Pendulum suspension A/F. 2 weights & winder.

Royal Navy Ships Bell for HMS Enforcer, the brass bell is deeply struck ‘ENFORCER 1944’ with blackened centre. Complete with the hanging mount and the original clanger. Good overall condition. HMS Enforcer was an Envoy class rescue tug, launched on 22nd July 1944 and completed 1st December 1944. She was built by Cochrane & Sons Ltd, Selby. She was re-named RFA Enforcer in 1949 and sold in 1963. Please note due to weight, in house post and packing is not available, collection only or specialist shipping required.
