French 8 day cylinder movement marked to backplate 22, striking on a bell. UPDATED 20/09/2023 Movement is complete and appears all-original with no visible evidence of alteration of notable replacements. Both trains are wound; the going will just about tick, the strike train is not quite running - the mechanism is a little neglected hence most likely not fully working due to being gummed-up with dry oil rather than having any significant faults. The case is missing an enamel roundel to the rear left-hand corner of the top and its front right hand foot is also missing. Otherwise is in sound original condition retaining old gilding albeit with heavy wear rubbing and discolouration mostly to the upper part of the superstructure.Clock has a pendulum and a winding key.
