A large ruby glass five light chandelier, believed Murano, Venice, probably circa 1970, with five scroll arms holding bell shaped shades, a further central shade with pendant drops, all held on a central stem and suspended from a ceiling rose (fitted for electricity but not tested). Currently dismantled for transport. This item appears largely intact. One shade has a section missing but will still suspend. It was safer to leave dismantled in the saleroom to avoid potential breakages

A George III Provincial Silver Two-Handled Cup, by John Langlands and John Robertson, Newcastle, 1783 inverted bell-shaped and on spreading reeded foot, with central reeded band and two scroll handles, one handle engraved with initials 'H' over 'H*E'14cm high, 11oz 3dwt, 347grFully marked near handle and further marked with maker's mark on each handle. There is some wear to the marks but each are generally still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are no obvious thin areas but it is possible the cup may have been erased. There are some bruises.

There are some very minor bruises and the foot has been pushed very slightly up into the body. One lower handle junction may have been repaired.

All keys are present, but the canvas is slack and vulnerable and there is a approx 25cm split at the turnover margin at the face of the painting on the right hand side. The canvas tension has released and it is undulating particularly in the top right corner where there is a pronounced draw (see images). There is an slightly elevated brittle age craquelure throughout, especially in the top edge. Mostly secure but with a few slight sharp corners lifting. There is one patch of paint-from-paint flaking top right corner in the sky. There is a line of damage from the rebate at the top edge and right edge. A concentrated patch of tighter cracking in the foreground figures has opened up slightly and appear white (see images). There are a couple of tiny white losses in the sky. A fairly even varnish, not appreciably yellowed. Surface dirt and a bit of debris trapped behind glass at the bottom of the picture.
