Paris, striking on a bell, base of clock with plaque inscribed 'Enfants aux Cymbales, par L. et F. Moreau, Mlle d'Or', flanked by a pair of urns cast with flowers and musical instruments, gilded compressed globular feet, all with pink-yellow marble bases, 32cm high and smaller. (3)

A brass lantern clock signed John Matchett of London, circa 18th century, the 5 inch silvered dial with Roman numerals and alarm dial to the centre raised on a foliate engraved back plate, the movement with verge escapement striking on a bell with two lead weights, replacement metal chain which is not attached, pendulum and wooden wall bracket, 20cm high overall CONDITION REPORT: Lot 283 - replacement chain not affixed, clock not tested for working, see description for accessories with clock, we cannot guarantee clocks are in working order, pendulum affixed but rod slightly bent, two cracks to arched strapwork, bash to top left of back plate, age staining to dial and back plate, escapement rotates when pendulum is swung, engraving clear to dial.

Excellent in a Good Wooden Presentation Box with a Certificate showing it to be no 1496 of a Limited Edition of 2000 Models. The Brass nameplates supplied have been fitted to the Locomotive and the Instructions are missing.

Some light scratches to the main bodies all conducive with age and use. All in need of a good clean. General wear and tear to include firing faults, etc. Set of three trumpet-shaped glasses - two have significant chips to the bases. Five wine glasses, two with bell bowls, air twist stems, one with mercury twist and engraved bowl, one engraved 1770 and initialled F.S., one with cotton twist stem and leaf engraved bowl, the largest measures 18.5cm high Condition report: The two air twist glasses have chipped feet, one knop is chipped. The mercury twist glass bowl has been restuck, the foot is chipped. The dated glass has a replaced foot. The leaf engraved glass has a metal repair. No condition reports for this sale
