An undated archaistic carved calcite alabaster idol comprising a waisted shank and bell-shaped terminal. 1.3 kg, 25 cm (9 3/4"). Acquired on the London art market in the 1980s. Alabaster is a name applied to varieties of two distinct minerals: gypsum (a hydrous sulfate of calcium) and calcite, a carbonate of calcium. In general, but not always, ancient Alabaster in Egypt and the Near & Middle East is calcite. Alabaster in medieval Europe is gypsum. [No Reserve] Fine condition.

A mixed group of silver-coloured metal jewellery comprising: five crescentic earrings with dangles; two domed disc pendants with dangles; two disc plaque pendants; a D-shaped plaque pendant with dangles; a large hoop earring with glass inserts; two disc pendants with dangles; two bell-shaped earrings with dangles; six trapezoidal plaque pendants; an openwork bracelet with hinge closure. 1.3 kg, bracelet: 65mm (2 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired 1990-2000. [No reserve, 22, No Reserve] Fine condition.

A George V hallmarked silver bell shaped Kiddush cup on knopped stem to spreading circular foot, height 12.5cm and two matching smaller examples, height 10cm , possibly Morris Salkind, London 1916, also a pair of silver candlesticks with baluster stems to spreading circular loaded bases, height 13.5cm, Birmingham 1961, weighable silver approx 3.7ozt (5).

Chasts, Teignmouth, An early 19th Century oak and mahogany longcase clock having an eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell, the 13-inch painted break-arch dial decorated with Wellington at Waterloo directing his troops with his sword arm moving with the swing of the pendulum, signed with the maker's name to the dial centre, with subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and brass hands, the oak case with mahogany crossbanding to the trunk door and base, with quartered columns to the curved-top hood, height 212cms.
