A mixed group comprising: two openwork buckles, each with scrolled loop and bar to the rear edge; a phallic mount; a belt mount with volute scroll to each end; a key with coiled loop; a square-section bell with ring-and-dot detail to each face, tiered shoulder; a lower guard from a dagger with pelletted bands to the lower edge on each face. 81 grams total, 26-54mm (1 - 2 1/4). A mixed pendant group comprising: a spiral seashell pierced for suspension; a hollow bronze sphere; four discoid plaques; one openwork discoid plaque with crescent to the centre; a trefoil with enamel details;a ring with three loops; a fleur-de-lys;a crescent; a bell-shaped loop; an openwork bird in circular frame; a round-section coil. 30 grams total, 15-38mm (1/2 - 1 1/2). Property of an American collector; acquired 1980-2000. [14, No Reserve] Fine condition.
French gilt bronze and black marble sculptural mantel clock of figures from the Medici Chapel, cast by Barbedienne, inset medallion of Achille Collas Reduction Mecanique, after Michelangelo, the central figure of Lorenzo, Duke of Urbino, in classical garb, height 53cm, flanked by Night and Day from Guiliano's tomb, length 47cm, the white enamel Roman dial with a lapis lazuli centre, eight-day movement striking the half on a bell, overall length 126cm. *See clocks and watches proviso. Condition report: the various parts of the arrangement are not fixed together and some architectural elements may be missing, The mis-match of the central figure and the side figures may indicate that this clock was once one of a pair that have been re-assembled incorrectly. The movement winds, ticks and strikes the half but loses step with the hour count; the dial enamel is crazed, the marble chipped on the edges, the ormolu is slightly rubbed. Note that the movement is fully enclosed, there isn't a rear opening. The black marble elements have general edge chips and scratches. Main figure: 20kg; side figures: 12.5kg and 10kg; central block: 13.5kg; side slabs:37kg combined All clocks and watches are sold without warranty. Gin glass circa 1750, with flaring bowl, knopped stem and folded foot, also a wine glass with bell shape bowl and opaque twist stem, (2) the tallest glass measures 15.5cm high Condition report: The gin glass has a tiny nick to the rim which has probably been there since production. The wine glass has may have a reduced foot.
