The moon phase dial painted with a galleon and a figure of Britannia; the eight day movement striking on a bell; the arched hood with turned pillars and boxwood line inlay; with central oval patera inlay of flowers. The case inlaid with ebony and box wood stringing, lozenges and a patera of musical instruments and with reeded squared corners and on bracket feet - 226cm height approx by 56cm wide approx.
A late 19th Century mahogany clock symphonium the clock case decorated with turned columns and finials, with a silvered brass and gilt decorated dial bearing Arabic numbers, with a pull out door to the back enclosing a bell striking Lenzkirck clock movement stamped 82451, the clock sits on a symphonium base with a central swing door enclosing the symphonium movement, stamped indistinctly with makers name and Made in Germany, with a winder to one side and lever to the opposing side, with two spare discs, the case decorated with turned columns and roundels with carved foliate panels. 229cm high x 56cm wide

William IV bronze bell by Wasbrough, Hale & Co of Bristol, bears cast inscription `Wasbrough, Hale & Co, Bristol, 1835`, 31cm diameter, on the original cast iron frame/bracket. The Wasbrough family with various partners were trading as brass founders in Narrow Wine Street, Bristol from 1797 to 1848, the business then continued as Thomas Hale & Sons until it closed in 1875. Pigot`s Directory for 1830 lists Wasbrough Hale & Co as not only brass founders but also gas fitters, clock makers, coach lamp makers and coppersmiths/braziers, all working from the same premises located west of Castle Green on the site of the Galleries Shopping Centre
