A World War II RAF Flying Log Book, Medals and Family Medals Related to 109896 Flt Lt ( later Squadron Leader ) Desmond Ernest Healey, Healey began military life in the Royal Horse Guards and included is a regimental boxing medal by Phillips of Aldershot. WWII medals of 39-45 Star, Air Europe Star ( Flt Lt D E Healey 109896 ) with France and Germany clasp, silver WM and DM with miniatures and ribbon bar, cloth insignia. RAF pocket book etc. The log book details approximately 55 ops bombing raids on ammo and fuel dumps in Northern France, enemy strong points at Boulogne and Arnhem on 14/9/44 and 25/9/44 respectively. Healey flew with 107 Squadron 1942 to 1943 and 88 Squadron 1943 to 1944, flying mainly Blenheims and Bostons. Also included are a Great War Trio with miniatures to Staff Nurse E E Healey, with territorial force nursing badge.

The finial is formed as a shamrock and created in sterling silver and 24 carat gold. The egg is spun in solid sterling, hand engine-turnes and guilloche enamelled in red. The European Cup medal stands to the front, recordingGeorge Best`s part in Manchester United`s greatest European achievement. To the reverse, the football League Champion`s badge. The sides of the Egg are graced with the official crest used by Manchester United in 1968; and, from the same year, the Northern Ireland official crest. The lower half of the egg is decorated with the famous Faberge swags interspersed with ornamental silver and gold footballs, modelled after footballs of the 60`s. THE JIMMY JOHNSTONE EGG BY SARAH FABERGE number 14 of a limited edition of 19 Accompanied with the St Petersburg certificate which reads: Sarah Faberge, great granddaughter of Russian Imperial Jeweller Carl Faberge, has created the Jimmy Johnstone Egg both in celebration of Celtic Football Club`s greatest ever player aand in his support. The lion is presented as a finial in sterling silver and 24 carat gold-symbol of Celtic`s triumph in winning the European Cup in Lisbon in 1967. The lion presides over the badges of Celtic`s winners medals-the European Cup medal to the front; to the reverse the Scottish League Championship medal; and flanking them, to the left the Scottish Football Association Cup and to the right the Scottish Football League Cup Medals. Struck in the original dies, gilded and hand-enamelled, the sterling medals intersperse a reminder of Jimmy Johnstone`s origins with the coal pithead-four winding-shaft supports, fashioned in silver and black gold. The top of the Egg itself is hand engine-turned on sterling silver and precious rhodium. The lower half of the creation is adorned with Celtic Football Club`s badge proclaiming its 1888 origin and produced here with specific authority from the Club. The badge is counterbalanced by the motif from `The Lord of the Wing` motion picture, which celebrates Jimmy Johnstone`s career and achievement. He then moved to 61 Squadron and was discharged December 1946 comes with 1939 Star/ F & G Star and War medal.
