Provenance: Pte Poulter is listed in The London Gazette 23 July 1919 as having been awarded the Military Medal

Distinguished Conduct Medal, to 206128 Pte A. Mitchell 6 East Kent Regiment (The Buffs). London Gazette 2nd Dec 1919 - He was company runner during operations near Vendhuile on 30th September, 1918 and 1st October. Whilst on his way to deliver a message he came upon a concreted enemy machine gun. He promptly rushed the gun and killed two men and the remainder of the garrison, three men surrendered to him. Later on when delivering another message to a flank company he had to bomb his way down a trench which he succeeded in doing and thereby established communication at a very critical period. He showed the greatest gallantry and did splendid work

Provenance: Ormsby George Robins Barnes was born in Christchurch New Zealand in 1890 to British parents. He joined the Royal West Kent Regiment in Dublin in 1912 but spent the bulk of his military service in India and on the North West Frontier. Recalled to military service in WWII rising to the rank of Lt Colonel in 1943

A GEORGE VI DISTINGUISHED FLYING MEDAL IND. IMP. VERSION TO 1237627 F/SGT. G.W. HOOPER R.A.F., g.v.f, ribbon slightly worn in centre, Flight Sergeant Geoffrey Welling Hooper was employed as an Air Bomber on Wellington Aircraft in 70 Squadron R.A.F at the time of recommendation he had completed 33 operational sorties over 205 hours flying as an Air Bomber, taking part in attacks on Airfields, Docks and communications in Tunisia, Sicily and Italy and was responsible for the illumination during the successful attack on the Torpedo Works at Fiume, sold with copies of the original recommendation, citation and press statement
