An Egypt and Sudan Gordon relief medal pair, for The Expedition 1885, marked Private R C Archer, one with Khartoum clasps and the Nile 1884-1885 clasps. Archer was a Royal Highlander Blackwatch present in action at the battle of Kirbekan on the 10th February 1885 and later saw service in Malta and Gibraltar, with associated photocopied ephemera. (2)
A UK Military Campaign medal trio, similarly marked to J Brooks, for the South Africa Second Boer War 1899-1902, each similarly marked, one with Transvaal, Orange Free State and Cape Colony clasps, another with South Africa 1902 and South Africa 1901 clasps, each with ribbons. Brooks was Second Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment, his number was 3708, with associated printed ephemera. (3)
A South African Boer War medal pair, similarly marked A Rutherford, one with Belfast Laing's Nek and Defensive Ladysmith clasps, the other with South Africa 1902 and South Africa 1901 clasp. Rutherford Second Battalion Rifle Brigade was present during The Defence of Ladysmith from the 3rd November 1899 to the 28th February 1900, and later at Laing's Nek and Belfast.
A medal pair for The Reconquest of The Sudan 1898, similarly marked A J Collin, each with ribbon, one with Khartoum clasps. Collin was Second Battalion Rifle Brigade who saw service during the Reconquest of The Sudan in 1898 and was present at The Battle of Omdurman on the 3rd September 1898 and was at the entry into Khartoum.
