French Medaille Militaire, this with original Certificate named to Bacon and dated 16th August 1856. Bacon is recorded as 'Noticed by Sir Wm Codrington at the Battle of Alma. Was Wounded at the attack on the Redan 18 June. Served through the whole Campaign. Was never absent'. Crimea Medal possibly erased. VF (3)
