(illustrated) Joseph Brandon as Assistant Surgeon went to China with the Expeditionary Force in 1900, he then remarried in 1904 to Helen Gladys Phyllis Millett. He was promoted to Senior Assistant Surgeon (ie. Captain) in 1907.

Great Western Railway 150th Anniversary Celebrations Boxed Medal Set by the Royal Mint. Issued in 1985, this set is of the Bronze, Silver and Gold Medallions, one of only 25 issued as a full set as the accompanying leaflet shows. The gold Medallion weighs 195 grams and is 9ct, the silver Medallion weighs 150 grams and is .925 silver. Housed in a leatherette box with logo on top lid. In excellent condition throughout although the silver medallion is slightly tarnished.
