Mayor of Maldon medal group, two early NFBU Fire Brigade LS&GC medals, one named Capt.S.Tydeman 1906 in bronze with 25 years extra service bars, same in silver numbered 67, with 35 years extra service bars, a Halstead Cup medal engraved won by Capt.S.Tydeman 1906-7-8, a 1902 Edw VII Coronation medal from Maldon and a scarce Past Mayor of Maldon neck badge engraved S.G.Tydeman JP 1937-45, in case, hallmarked & enamelled. Possibly a father & son combination of LS&GC medals although possibly all to same man as most Mayors are of advanced years. GVF

Arthur Pearce was born Cape Town in 1905, a Bank Clerk, enlisted 8-6-40 to 23-8-45 served in SA Tank Corps 1940-43 then SAAF there is no mention on his medal sheet showing issue of 39-45 star or Africa Service Medal
Suffolk Regt WW2 Military Medal group to 5932398 Pte L. Jaggard Suffolk Regt (5932398 C/Sjt L Jaggard MM Suffolk). Medals - MM GVI, India General Service Medal with NWF 1937-39 clasp, GSM with Palestine 1945-48 clasp, 1939-45 Star, Burma Star, France & Germany Star, Defence & War Medals, mounted as worn. Mr Jaggard was born at Newmarket in 1916, joining the Suffolks in the 1930`s, served with the 1st Bn in India, landed with them on D-Day as Company Runner. He acquitted himself with valour in Nov 1944 when his Company was attacking the Castle of Geijsteren in Holland alongside the flooded Maas River, and suffered 2 killed and 10 wounded, in this action he won the MM which was personally presented by Field Marshall Montgomery. Promotion followed and he became Colour Sergeant Jaggard of D Company in Egypt and Palestine. A superb and unusual group (8) GVF
