A WW2 boxed Naval group of MID group of seven, to Lt Commander William Easton Turner R.N.V.R. MID L.G. 22nd September 1942 in connection with the torpedoing of HMS Muncaster-Castle. Group consists of 39-45 star, Africa star with North Africa 1942-43 bar, Atlantic star, Burma star, and War medal, also including four MID emblems, various letters certificates, etc including the correspondence book from HMS Loch Monteith, MID certificate, commission document, officers log, the union jack used at his funeral and presented to his widow, report of the sinking of Muncaster-Castle, a photograph of Turner in Uniform at his wedding, etc. A fascinating group.
