Queens South Africa medal with 5 bars, awarded to 8271 Corp A.E. Winter K.R.R.C., Laing's Nek, Transvaal, Relief of Ladysmith, Tugela Heights and Cape Colony.The King's Royal Rifle Corps was originally raised in British North America as the Royal American Regiment. Subsequently numbered the 60th Regiment of Foot, the regiment served for more than 200 years throughout the British Empire. Renamed in 1830 the King's Royal Rifle Corps (KRRC). The regiment was deployed during the Second Boer War from the outset playing a key role in the first battle at Talana Hill. Two officers from the regiment were awarded the Victoria Cross.

Aste, RAF.The London Gazette, 11th July 1939 records that Squadron Leader Geoffrey Aste was promoted to Wing Commander on the 6th June 1939, he served in the 907th (County of Middlesex) Squadron, they were a barrage balloon squadron base in North London with 5 Flights of 9 balloons. At the outbreak of war in 1939 there were about 42 Squadrons operating barrage balloons, with the number of squadrons peaking at about 102 in 1944, they were accredited with the destruction of 279 V1 flying bombs.
George V Naval General Service medal, awarded to 221831 I.S. Mc Cloughlan A.B., H.M.S. Fox, clasp for Persian Gulf 1909-1914.HMS Fox, commissioned 1901, was a second class protected cruiser of the Astraea-class of the Royal Navy. Fox was sheathed in wood and copper, to fit her for tropical waters. She was paid off after six years in January 1907 and sent to the reserve fleet. In May 1908, she was recommissioned for the Home Fleet. In June 1908, she was sent to the East Indies served in the East Indies and Egypt from 1915 to 1917, and then in the Red Sea in 1917 to 1918. In 1919, Fox was dispatched to participate as part of the British intervention in the Russian Civil War.She was scrapped in 1923.
