JOANNA CONSTANTINIDIS STONEWARE VASE, of inverted ovoid form, glazed in natural tones, impressed C mark to rim of base, 31cm high Note: Joanna Constantinidis (1927-2000) was trained at Sheffield College of Art. She was inspired by British history, medieval pottery, Staffordshire slipware, salt glaze and early industry pottery as well as modern and ancient Greece. In 1978, she was awarded the Medal of Honour at the international exhibition of ceramic art in Faenza, Italy. Her work is internationally recognised and is shown in the U.S., Belgium, Italy as well as the U.K where it is represented in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

Rye Golf Club white metal medal - embossed with only The Rye GC Crest, Star and Moon and just Rye Golf Club below - plain back - overall 1.5" Note Rye GC was formed in the early 1890's and designed by H.S Colt who saw a big career change from Solicitor to one of most respected course designers both nationally and internationally - in 1899 the newly created Oxford and Cambridge Golfing Society accepted an invitation to play their home matches at Rye and the varsity match was first played at Rye in 1911 and this special relationship still exists today
