1915 Star and Victory Medal to TZ.3296 T Scott AB RNVR. With copy service papers, lived Bedlington. Served Cyclist Co D.H.Q. RND 13/10/15. Hospital with Shell Shock 1917, listed as Missing 20/4/1918, Prisoner of War in German hands at Geflg Lamsdorf, Geflg Munster and Neuhammer, and Repatriated January 1919. GVF (2)
Distinguished Conduct Medal, BWM & Victory Medal to 4796 Cpl W Higgins 4-London R. (DCM named 282040 Cpl W Higgins 2/Lond R, correction to naming). DCM L/G 18/2/1919 (Barnsbury) entitled to Silver War Badge for Wounds. 'For conspicuous gallantry and good leadership near Saunchy L'Estree, on 27th Sept 1918. In charge of a party of four men he captured as Officer and 29 other ranks with four machine guns. He then bombed a party of snipers who were causing casualties, shooting the remaining sniper himself from point blank range'. VF (3)
Distinguished Conduct Medal, BWM & Victory Medal, French Croix de Guerre 1914-1917 to 1933 Sjt J Grant K.O.S.B. (DCM named 240532 A.Cpl J S Grant 1/5 K.O.Sco.Bord). Missing a 1915 Star. DCM L/G 30th Oct 1918 and CdG L/G 22/11/1918 (Langholm). 'For remarkable initiative and gallantry. When his only officer and all senior NCO's of his company became casualties early in the action, he took command, and by his personality rallied the men under heavy shell and machine gun fire. He then fought his way to the objective, where he consolidated, reorganising the company and carried on for eight hours until an officer took over command'. EF (4)

RN), Africa Star, War Medal, Naval GV LSGC Medal (M.21997 J G Buchanan E.R.A.1.HMS Lucia). John Gibson Buchanan died 20/10/1940 on HS Submarine Triad. Listed on the Portsmouth Memorial. Lived Torrington, Essex. HM Sub Triad is thought to have been sunk by the Italian Submarine Enrico Toti. A superb and unusual casualty group. GVF toned (6)

Frederick Plummer was Killed with 59 Sqdn in a Flying Accident 12/9/1918, Flying an A.W. No 3453 160HP he lost control while flying from Aux Air Park Kenley. Buried Streatham Cemetery. "on 26/3/18 during ops on the Euphrates at Wadi Hauran A sq had 3 casualties including L/Cpl Emes. All 3 able to ride back to advanced dressing station". Dark tone (5)

Highly unusual DOUBLE issue Military Medal group with boxes of issue, ribbon bar and shoulder title, War Office letter re issue of an MM 7/2/1924. The first MM is named 201088 Pte E D Turner 2-4-R.Berks.R, the second named 201088 Pte E D Turner 2/4 R.Berks R, and the BWM & Victory (201088 Pte E D Turner R.Berks.R). MM L/G 27 June 1018 (Sunningdale). Award for March offensive, Battle of St Quentin, most likely for the fighting on 21st March at Marteville and at the line between Ellis Redoubt and Villecholes on 22nd March. EF (4)
