Norfolk Regiment who were engaged in the attack on Falfemant Farm on 3/9/16 suffering 369 casualties. The lot includes memorial plaque/death penny to GILBERT WILLIAM MURRELL, burial document, photograph and badges etc. A Special Constabulary Long Service Medal to Reginald H. Murrell.

Boxing Jose Torres signed 10x8 colour photo. José (Chegüi) Torres (May 3, 1936 - January 19, 2009) was a Puerto Rican professional boxer. As an amateur boxer, he won a silver medal in the junior middleweight division at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. In 1965, he defeated Willie Pastrano to win the WBC, WBA and lineal light heavyweight championships. Torres trained with the legendary boxing trainer Cus D Amato. Raymond Anthony Mercer (born April 4, 1961) is a retired American professional boxer, kickboxer, and mixed martial artist who competed from 1989 to 2009. Best known for his boxing career, Mercer won a heavyweight gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics as an amateur, and later held the WBO heavyweight title from 1991 to 1992 as a professional. He was ranked as the world's No. 9 heavyweight by BoxRec at the conclusion of 1990. As a mixed martial artist, he scored a notable first-round knockout win over former two-time UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia in 2009. Good condition. Tennis Pam Shriver 11x17 coloured mounted signature piece. Includes coloured photo of Pam in action and a signed FDC. Pamela Howard Shriver is an American former professional tennis player. During the 1980s and 1990s, she won 133 titles, including 21 women's singles titles, 111 women's doubles titles, and one mixed doubles title. In Grand Slam tournaments, Shriver won 22 titles, 21 in doubles and one mixed doubles title. She also won a women's doubles gold medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul with Zina Garrison as her partner. Shriver and regular doubles partner Martina Navratilova are the only women's doubles pair to have completed the Grand Slam in a calendar year, winning all four major titles in 1984. Good condition. Thorne & Sons Limited, 76mm (3), 238g (8½ oz), the obv, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, depicts Columbus, arms outstretched, arriving on the shore of America & the rev, designed by Charles Barber, features a central tablet inscribed 'WORLD'S COLOMBIAN EXPOSITION IN COMMEMORATION OF THE FOUR HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LANDING OF COLUMBUS MDCCCXCII - MDCCCXCIII' and the name of the recipient, the tablet is flanked by flaming torches & below is the Santa Maria under full sail; above the tablet are two winged angels either side of a globe; small piercing in centre of rev. & some very minor surface pitting o/wise very good condition, together with an English cast iron copy of the German Lusitania Medal, with the original incorrect date of the sinking (5 May 1915), the correct date being 27 April 1915; 55mm, 72g, as issued & Belgium a silver(?) Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Transvaal (5647 Pte. D. Connor. 1/Oxfd: L.I.) engraved naming, polished, contact marks and edge bruising, nearly very fine £100-£140 --- Daniel Connor was born at Cannanore, India, and attested for the Oxfordshire Light Infantry at the Curragh Camp, Ireland, on 2 March 1898. He served with 1st Battalion in South Africa during the Boer War from 22 December 1899 to 4 October 1902 (also entitled to the King’s South Africa Medal with both date clasps), and transferred to the Military Foot Police on 3 February 1906, but returned to the 2nd Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry in July 1910. He retired on 3 August 1910, after 12 years and 155 days’ service. Sold with copied record of service and medal roll extracts.
