A Geo. V. Military medal, naming M2/105461 SJT: W.B. BIDWELL. A.S.C. Research shows that Bidwell was attached to the 21st Motor Ambulance Convoy RAMC. MM London Gazette 23.2.1918. Probably for getting wounded away in ambulance cars under heavy fire in November 1917 either at Cambrai or Passchendale.
An Order of the British Empire medal group to include O.B.E., 1914-15 Star, naming LIEUT. E.S.A. BAYNES. K.R.RIF:C, British war and Victory, CAPT. E.S.A. BAYNES and Defence medal, together with miniature examples and a Distinguished Service to the City of New York medal, (11) CAPTAIN E.S.A. BAYNES O.B.E. Edward Stuart Augustus Baynes was born in 1889 to Edward Neil Baynes and Charlotte Augusta Irby. He studied architecture at Radley College, Oxford, and had barely started his career when war broke out. Baynes enlisted with the King's Royal Rifle Corps and was promoted to Captain in the service of the 11th Battalion. He fought in France and was wounded twice, probably during the Somme Offensive of 1916. After the war, Baynes worked in the Department of Overseas Trade (1918-1940), the Dominions Office (1941-1946) and was UK Trade Commissioner to Ireland between 1946-1954, during which time he was awarded an O.B.E. An interest in Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) led to the publication of A List of Irish Butterflies in 1960 and the Revised Catalogue of Irish Macrolepidoptera in 1964. Edward Stuart Augustus Baynes died in 1972.
Jacob Jenster KC signed US plain cover 1992, neat hand address. Jenster started his career in the navy on the first of Oct. 1935 and transferred to the Luftwaffe (see) 1.1 1936. From Sept. 39 until April 1940 Uffz. and pilot in Stukaschule 1. 1.April to 20. march 1941 flying for 7./StG 1. Then until June 42 Flying instructor in Stuka schule in Graz. From June 42 again 7./StG 1 and 1943/44 flying for 6./StG 2 on the eastern front. From 10. of juli 1944 to the rest of the war he was with 10.(Pz)/SG 2 !6.May he was captured by the Americans who "gave" him to the Russians and they kept him prisoner until Sept. 1949. He has 960 missions, of these were 360 Panzerjagdeinsatze mit Ju 87 with cannons and more than 100 tanks were destroyed by him. Decorations German cross in gold, Knights cross, Flying clasp in gold with pendant for dive-bombers, EK 1 and two, eastern front medal and finally the medal for long service in the armed force. Scarce autograph. Good condition
DERBY COUNTY MEDAL 1911-12 Gold hall-marked medal, Football League Division 2 Winners medal, 1911-12. Front has The Football League inscribed on enamel with coats of arms also on enamel. The reverse is inscribed "Champions Division 2, 1911-12, Derby County, E.Scattergood" Goalkeeper Scattergood played in all 38 games for Derby in this promotion season as Derby won the title on goal average from Chelsea. Scattergood made 192 appearances for Derby in Cup and League and scored three goals, all penalties, whilst playing as goalkeeper. Scattergood played for England v Wales in 1912. The medal was made by Fattorini and has a gold hallmark on the reverse. Good
THIRD LANARK MEDAL 1876-77 Shield shaped medal inscribed on the front "3rd L.R.V. F.C season 1876-7" and inscribed on the reverse "1st Eleven John Wallace". John Wallace was born in 1856 and played in goal for Third Lanark in the 1878 Scottish Cup Final when Third Lanark lost 1-0 to Vale of Leven. Third Lanark were formed in 1872, sadly being dissolved in 1967 due to financial difficulties. The medal does not have a hall-mark but is made of a thin metal and could be said to be gold in colour but we do not think that it is a gold medal. It measures almost 4cm in length from the top of the crown at the top of the medal to the bottom edge by 2 cm across. Good
LIVERPOOL CHAMPIONS MEDAL Gold hall-marked medal inscribed "The Football League Champions Division 1" on the front and inscribed "E Longworth on the reverse". Ephraim Longworth was a full-back who made 370 appearances for Liverpool between 1910 and 1928 and he was capped five times for England. During his career Liverpool were Champions of Division 1 twice in seasons 1921-22 and 1922-23 and this medal was awarded to Longworth for one of those two seasons. He made 26 appearance in 21/2 and 41 in 1922/3. Good
STOKE MEDAL 1918 Football shaped gold hall-marked medal with case awarded to Stoke FC Director T.B.Rhodes in season 1917-18. The gold ball is encircled by a gold and enamel ring upon which is the hallmark plus inscription "Stoke F.C. To Commemorate winning the League (Lancashire Section) 1917-18" on the front, the back being inscribed "T.B.Rhodes Director" together with the hallmark. The case comes from Vaughtons and the case has a gilt inscription on the top reading "Stoke Football Club 1917-18". Good
MANCHESTER CITY MEDAL 1907 Gold and enamel medal awarded by the Manchester and District FA to P.Hill of Manchester City winners of the Manchester Cup 1906-07, Complete with hall-mark and suitably inscribed as above. Hill made over 20 appearances as a full-back for the City first team that season and City defeated Stockport 2-0 in the Final. Good

A mixed lot including silver items; an Edward VII hallmarked silver double stamp case with gilt interior and suspension ring, engraved "JEP" to one side, Payton, Pepper & Sons Ltd, Chester 1904, 3 x 2.5cm, a silver circular locket pendant, silver golf medal "1894 August won by BC Sellars", Birmingham, a silver cased pocket watch with enamel dial set with Roman numerals, also an Elizabeth II crown in white metal mounts and a pair of costume ear clips, weighable silver approx 0.5ozt (6).
A collection of four WWII medals awarded to Sergeant J. McDermott of the Royal Corps of Signals, comprising War Medal with bronze oak leaf showing a mention in dispatches, Defence Medal, Italy Star, and a 1939-1945 Star, a framed citation for Sergeant McDermott, his Soldier's Service and Pay Book from 30th September 1939 when he enlisted to 1945, and a 1914 Christmas box.
