Tel of the Royal Navy volunteer reserve Comprising British war medal and War for Civilisation medal, a model WWI British tank mounted on wooden plaque with presentation inscription '100's of engines for driving the tanks used in the Great War were manufactured by Browett, Lindley & Co Ltd, Patricroft, Manchester, a 'Spot them at Sea Pamphlet' published by The Daily Mirror relating to WWII warships, postcard album containing approx 300 postcards to include WWI battleships, scenes of London, topographical scenes, Constantinople, Greece, bombed areas of Salonique dated 1917, Athens, Malta, etc.
WWI medal group awarded to Lt Charles Cotterill of the Royal Flying Corps Comprising War Medal and War for Civilisation Medal, Royal Flying Corps cap badges, officers pips, three cloth Observers Corps badges, a mounted photograph relating to sporty huns, this relates to downed British pilots photographed with German pilots, this was later dropped on to the British airfield to say that the pilots were alive and well, a photograph album relating to Charles Cotterill's career firstly in the Cheshire Regiment latterly in the Royal Flying Corps of over 800 photographs of his time in Egypt, views to include trenchs, armoured cars, downed British aircraft, locals, views from aircraft, officers at leisure etc, two imperial German iron crosses second class with twenty five clasps, imperial German iron cross first class, Nazi Germany cap badge, postcard album containing approx 100 postcards and photographs of scenes Ypres, submarines, ships etc, also a typed letter written by Lt C. Cotterill dated 8th December 1929 relating to the sporty huns and British prisoners of war, Charles Cotterill's officers commission etc. After the war Charles Cotterill became head of the drawing dept at Irlam Steelworks and retired in 1960.

Letter from The War Office, 25 October, 1948, relates to the Bronze Star; official list of medals issued. Lampson served as the Battalion Signals Officer with the 2nd Battalion, The Scots Guards, at Salerno in Operation Avalanche.
George III and Captain Cook, The "Resolution and Adventure" or "Otaheiti" Medal, 1772, signed B:F ([Matthew] Boulton fecit), laureate head of George III right, GEORGE III KING OF GREAT BRITAIN FRANCE AND IRELAND, rev HMS Resolution and HMS Adventure sail towards the horizon, RESOLUTION ADVENTURE / SAILED FROM ENGLAND MARCH MDCCLXXII, first reverse with die break, 42mm (BHM 165; Betts 552; Eimer 744; MH 373). A well-worn and issued specimen that has been mounted with a linked silver and mesh chatelaine-type brooch fitting. See also Westwood A, Matthew Boulton's "Otaheite" Medal, Birmingham, 1926.
An extended Great War group of medals awarded to Major Antony Hubert Gibbs, comprising; 1914 Star, clasp 5th Aug-22nd Nov (Major A. H. Gibbs N. Som: Yeo.), War and Victory medals (Major A. H. Gibbs), 1939-45 Defence medal, Coronation medal 1902, Territorial Decoration (awarded 1915), brooch mounted; together with dress miniatures, brooch mounted. Good very fine. Antony Hubert Gibbs (1874-1957), second son of Antony Gibbs of Tyntesfield. Appointed 2nd Lieutenant North Somerset Yeomanry, 1895; Lieutenant, December 1898; Captain 1904; Major, June 1912. In the Great War served with the North Somerset Yeomanry, 4 August 1914 to Mar. 1917, and was in France with them 2 November 1914 to May 1915. Commanded the 3rd North Somerset Yeomanry at Bath, May 1915-March 1917; served on Quarter Master General's Staff of Southern Command at Salisbury from May 1917 to the end of the War.

After Lemuel Francis Abbot/Portrait of Horatio Nelson/wearing Star and Ribbon of the Bath and the Naval gold medal awarded for his victory at The Battle of Cape St Vincent (1797)/oil on canvas, 90.5cm x 60cm/Provenance: Private Collection, Wiltshire Condition Report: Many restorations and relined. Areas of restorations are predominantly in top left corner, around head and centre right. Other smaller areas. Some lifting and craquelure to paint in some areas.

Aged 5 years and 10 months when exhibited at the Smithfield Club Show, Christmas 1832 where he received the Silver Medal of the Society, neat weight 232 stone of 8lbs, loose fat 30 stone/Provenance: Apperley Court/see illustration Condition Report: Some slight rippling to top right corner of canvas. Overall in good original condition with surface dirt, unlined.
A bar of six German Nazi WWII medals including the Merit Cross, 1939 Spange clasp on black and white ribbon, the Eastern Front Medal, the Factory Workers War Merit medal, the German Eastern Peoples medal 2nd Class and the Spanish Volunteers Blue Division Medal, all with ribbons and one other together with a hand written letter and envelope addressed to Adolf Hitler at his headquarters from George Engelbrecht (and family) thanking Hitler for a gift to the sender's Father, dated 6th September 1944. This letter was retrieved from the ruins of Hitler's Headquarters in Berlin in July 1945 by the vendor's father and the lot also includes relevant black and white photographs of the time including one depicting him on the steps of the ruins of the British Embassy in Wilhelmstrasse, Berlin in July 1945 and other photographs including one of a V-1 single manned aeroplane (three), an Attestation Certificate for George William Clarke, RE and duplicated letter from Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force and a Royal Engineer's cap badge, York & Lancaster Regiment cap badge, three lapel badges and various woven badges.
