Aberdeen won the Scottish First Division championship this year for the second time in the clubs history, finishing with 48 points, Celtic being runners-up on 47 points.

Low, with ring suspension, most of the enamelling now rubbed away. Provenance: Christie` s South Kensington, Football Memorabilia, 27 September 2001, Lot 98. In the above final played on 20th March 1897 at Second Hampden, Rangers defeated Dumbarton 5-1. This win saw Rangers record their second-only Scottish Cup Final victory
