RAF Escaping Series 5 Retour en France cover signed 3 Resistance helpers. Signed by Madam Helene Jullien who was a helper in the Comete Escape Route operating the Leclere Line. Despite the breakup of her line she continued to operate until being arrested in June 1943 Interned at the notorious Fresnes Prison and later at Compeigne until being deported to Ravensbruck concentration camp. She was decorated as a Commander of the Legion of honour, Resistance Medal, Croix de Gueere and Medal of Freedom Rene Picard wbo was President General of UNEG since 1955, he was a member of the French Air Force in 1939/40. Taken prisoner in 1940 and escaped in 1943 He was interned in Hungary, escaped again and joined a group of French Fighters in Slovakia participating in the uprising in August 1944 and continued action against the Germans until liberated by Russian Forces in 1945. Jean Marti Son of a helper who he was assisting in 1939/40 when he was wounded. Posted to occupied France joined a military resistance group and then made his way to Spain, was interned, released and then joined the Free French Air Force in Britain with 345 and 347 Squadrons.
