CYRIL KNOWLES Boxed medal awarded to Tony Galvin for playing in the Cyril Knowles Memorial match , 10/11/1991 , the Spurs team of 81/82 played the 90/91 team whilst earlier a Spurs 70-71 team played the Arsenal 70-71 team. Held in memory of ex Tottenham defender Cyril Knowles who had died a couple of months previously.. Small inscribed plaque inside the box with the medal. Good
GALVIN - CAGLIARI Boxed medal inscribed Citta Cagliari and dated on reverse 10-6-1990 presented to Tony Galvin, Irish Republic at the 1990 World Cup. Tony was a non-playing member of the Irish squad for the 1990 World Cup and they played England in Cagliari on June 11th 1990. Complete with box. Good
1920 OLYMPIC GAMES - FOOTBALL Scarce large format 1920 Antwerp Olympic Games pictorial brochure, pages measure 14" x 12" and the 34 page brochure covers the football tournament, gymnastics, hockey, show jumping and fencing. Published in Sweden and in the Swedish language. Six pages cover the football with match action pictures and editorial, pictures include Norway v England, Sweden v Holland and v Greece with team groups of Sweden and the gold medal winners Belgium. The tournament ended in chaos as Czechoslovakia walked off in the Final with Belgium leading 2-0. The Czechs were disqualified and it was decided that France should play Spain for the silver medal, however France refused to play as most of their team had gone home and eventually Spain prevailed in a mini-tournament over Sweden, Italy and Holland to win Silver with Holland receiving Bronze. Many pictures of the other sports noted. Tears to outside edge of the full colour cover otherwise generally good. As described

Jane Mary Dealy, RA (Lady Lewis) (British, 1856-1939) "Happy Thoughts" signed upper right "Jane M Dealy and inscribed to the reverse with title watercolour 42 x 35cm (16 x 14in) Provenance: Private collection, UK Other Notes: Jane Mary Dealy was noted for her portraits of children, and was a successful illustrator of children's books. Born in Liverpool, she studied at the Slade School and the Royal Academy Schools; at the Royal Academy she won the 1880 first prize for best drawing (a Silver Medal and £10). She showed her paintings at the Royal Academy and at the Institute of Painters of Water Colours. She married Walter Lewis in 1887; after his knighthood, she was known as Lady Lewis. Jane M Dealy, Walton Lodge, Blackheath - artist's address to the reverse . Under glass and condition appears fine.
