The medals together with three black and white photos dd 1942 and 1945 depicting Nr 16 Ferry Pilots Pool, Kirkbride, Cumberland February 1942, some signed by those in the photograph, A.T.A. Certificate of Service and Commendation for Exceptional Airmanship. "On the 10/2/44 under the most adverse circumstances caused by technical failure, he landed his aircraft undamaged".
