A.S.C.), officially impressed, unmounted, in box of issue. Note: Private Daniel MacPherson Dykes, 688th Mechanical Transport Coy, Army Service Corps, died on 6th November 1918, probably of influenza. He is buried with honour at Skopje British Cemetery, Macedonia. Born in Glasgow, he had taken up residence at Kingston St. Mary (Somerset) before enlisting at Taunton. He is commemorated near his former home, on the War Memorial in the churchyard of St. Mary's Church, Kingston St. Mary.
