WW1 Casualty Military Medal Group. Awarded to Pte Pickenings/Pickens of the East Lancashire Regiment. The MM has the misspelled name of Pickenings He was promoted to the rank of Corporal and killed in action on the 28/10/1918 during the final advance to Victory. He is buried in the Commonwealth War Cemetery , Auberchicourt, Somme France. Also comes with a certificate of gratitude from Stretford Council who made him a posthumous honorary Sergeant. Avery interesting group with a mass of supporting paperwork.
