British Exhibition Medal, bronze d.77mm: Great Exhibition 1851 Prize Medal, by W. & L.C. Wyon, Eimer no. 1456, edge: 'PRIZE MEDAL OF THE EXHIBITION. FISHERS & ROBINSON. CLASS XIX.' (fabric and textiles class) GEF, tiny edge flaw, with original case in VGC. An historic piece worthy of research. 2876 prize medals were issued for this exhibition.

Comes with some research and an original card from the Mond Family dating to the presentation of the medal in memory of Dr Ludwig Mond 11. XII. 1911.
British Commemorative Medal, silver d.36mm: Death of George Whitefield 1770 (methodist founder), see Eimer 735, toned GVF, suspension loop, a few tiny edge nicks. There is an American Colonial connection to this medal as George Whitefield was a great preacher in the North American colonies, and died at Newburyport, Massachusetts.
