Scarce and Early Leith Lochend Golf Club 9ct gold medal c. late 1890s – the obverse engraved with a golfer (looking very much like Tom Morris) driving, using a longnose club and engraved with the clubs details to the border and on the reverse faintly stamped "The Currie Cup" below the engraved initials "J.M.B"

Note: Miss Tucker and Mr F.B Leach became engaged and married and the medals now come from a direct descendant

A small collection of ephemera relating to the Rhead family: comprising seven photographs of Frederick Alfred, Charlotte and Dollie Rhead, including other family members, a letter dated 7th April, 1906 from the Secretary of the `International Jury of the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition` to Harry Rhead of `Messrs Wardle & Co. awarding him a Bronze Medal Diploma`, an e.p.n.s. nurses buckle and belt, but comprising primarily of correspondence and diaries pertaining to the late Richard Harry Cronin Rhead and his mother Marie.*Provenance: From the Estate of Richard Harry Rhead Cronin, son of Marie Elizabeth Adolphine Rhead (sister to Charlotte Rhead)

A A Fisher-Smith, framed and glazed, together with a certificate verso, a white metal badge inscribed "Honi soit qui mal y pense", a stained glass window design inscribed "To the glory of God and in memory of Archibald Fisher- Smith Lieutenant Coldstream Guards who fell in battle near Ypres 1st August 1917 aged 23 years" bearing label verso inscribed "Uncle John's window in ? St. Peter's Church Wolverhampton...", a group of three photographic portraits inscribed verso "Granny Fisher...", a gilt decorated scroll dated Dudley June 30th 1886 and a framed and glazed printed letter on Buckingham Palace notepaper, with certificate verso, and a charcoal portrait of "Uncle John" by John A.M. Hay 1918 (7) CONDITION REPORTS All with wear and scuffs. Portrait with some wear, dirt and discolouration / foxing. Scroll, certificates with wear, dirt, some foxing and discolouration, creases. Photos also with some with losses. Medals are within a sealed double sided glazed frame and have not been removed for inspection, their back and sides are not visible within the frame.
