Everaldo won a total of 29 international caps between 1967 and 1972 and appeared on a losing Brazilian side on just one occasion during his career in October 1968. Other career honours included the award of the Brazilian Silver Ball in 1970, winner of the Roca Cup with Brazil in 1967, winner of the Campeonato Gaucho in 1964, 1966, 1967 & 1968 with Gremio and winner of the Rio Branco Cup in 1967 also with Gremio.
