A World War One pair and death plaque to 28110 Sjt E Boon, Ches R, comprising BWM, VM and plaque, with a note stating that Boon was announced Distinguished Conduct Medal in The London Gazette 22nd Oct 1917 and a copy The London Gazette dated 25th January 1918 (pp1292) stating '28110 Pte. E. Boon Ches. R. (Denton), For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the capture of an enemy position the first two waves of the attach were held up by a strong point. This N.C.O., initiated a flank attack and successfully put the strong point out of action, thus enabling out advance to proceed. His coolness and dash were most marked and set a splendid example to his men.' (3)

A Punjab Medal 1848-1849 to J. F. Calvert, 1st Bn 60th R. Rifles, with Mooltan clasp (1) With a typed note sheet stating, among other things, 2652 Pte John Ferdinand Calvert born Blackburn Lancashire, enlisted at Chatham on January 16th 1847, embarked for Bombay on 28th August 1847 and joined the regiment at Camp Kurrachee on 14th January 1848. Died camp hospital near Peshwar 19th July 1849.
A Punjab Medal 1848-1849 to John Edgecombe 32nd Foot, with Goojerat and Mooltan clasps (1) With a typed note sheet stating, among other things, 1646 Pte John Edgecombe was born Plymouth Devon circa February 1820 and enlisted in the 32nd at Bristol on 24th February 1838. He served in England before embarking to the East Indies May / June 1846 and served with the Regiment throughout the Sikh War. Died Kussowilie India on 23rd July 1855.
A Naval Distinguished Service Medal to 227848 G. J. W. Bower P.O. HMS Dartmouth, Straits of Otranto 15th May 1917 (1)HMS Dartmouth was a Town Class light cruiser launched in 1911. She saw combat in the Battle of the Otranto Straits of 14/15th May 1917. She suffered heavy damage from the Austro-Hungarian cruisers and had to return to port. On return she was struck by a torpedo from UC-25 and began to sink. Despite the order having been given to abandon ship a small group of men stayed onboard manning the pubs so that she could be towed to port.

P Bloor Lt R.F.A., 23rd Feb 1918', and Territorial War Medal 1914-19, '2nd Lieut R. P. Bloor R.A'; with a BWM and VM pair to Capt W. H. Bloor, and a group of four to 2nd Lieut W. H. Bloor R.F.A, comprising1914/15 Star, BWM, VM and a Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee medal for good service and issued by Birkenhead Constabulary, engraved H. Bloor Member Watch Committee (8) Accompanying the group is a letter from Kenneth Lovell dated June 26th 1984 stating that the award of the MC was listed in The London Gazette ib January 18th 1918. The citation was published in the suppliement on April 25th 1918 stating 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to dity. He ws in command of five mortars during a raid and kept them in action throughout the operations with great skill, though heavily shelled'.
