WW2 Medal Grouping, being a group mounted for wear consisting of 1939-45 star, Africa star with 1st Army bar, Italy star, Defence medal and 1939-45 War medal. Accompanied by a RAF issue holy bible with inked to the front “BIGGINS HILL 1941” and a set of identity discs for “2170202 DAVIED W WAAF”.
WW2 German Armed Forces 25 Year Long Service Medal, blue ribbon with Luftwaffe eagle attached. Accompanied by a cased RAD 25 Year long service award and a Waffen-SS Totenkopf cap skull insignia. All remain in good condition. We are of the opinion that all three items are excellent high quality post war representations and are being sold as such. Sold not subject to return. (3 items)

A WWII GROUP OF MEDALS, together with miniatures, ephemera, badges and other items, attributed to a Pte Tom Upton, of the Dorsetshire Regiment, possibly 4th/5th Btn, who served in the Normandy Campaign of 1944 onwards, the full size group consists of the 1939-45, Italy, France and Germany Stars, together with the War medal, these are boxed in the original issue box and un-mounted, also present is the original issue slip, a full size ribbon bar, together with a swing mounted group of miniatures, also a British military issue monocular, in its carrying case, together with a pair of 6 x 30 possibly German issue military binoculars, in a desert sand colour, no makers marks present, also a period map in black and white of the village of Asnelles France, which formed part of Gold Beach, Dorsetshire blazer badge, together with two uniforms patches, khaki green Dorset, a small selection of military cap badges and devices to include four to the Dorset Regiment, also a Normandy landings VHS video, two commemorative 50p pieces, a Normandy 1944 commemorative medal boxed and a leather wallet containing various War Time currency, information provided by the vendor states that Upton later lost his leg, in Italy when on a foot patrol, his closest colleague dying after standing on a land mine

A World War II PDSA Dickin medal (animal VC) to Princess a smokey blue carrier pigeon hen, awarded posthumously for carrying an important message from Crete to Alexandria while serving with the R.A.F. in 1943, this medal is accompanied by its certificate and explanatory letter and two press photographs of the award ceremony. The flight of 'Princess 42 W.D.593' is listed by the PDSA as one of the finest performances of pigeons in war service, the flight was a staggering 500 miles mostly over water.
