His early Diplomatic postings included Switzerland, Cuba, Peru, Washington, Bangladesh and Columbia. In 1986 he was appointed British Ambassador to Paraguay and in 1989 British Ambassador to Panama. His positions when not abroad included Parliamentary Clerk for the Foreign Office and Special Representative of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. He also worked for the EU Monitoring Mission based in Zagreb covering Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and the Republic of Macedonia. Dallmeyer Rapid Rectilinear f/8 8½x6½" lens, brass, serial no. 18717, body, VG, some light corrosion brass fittings, lens, VG, some light cleaning marks; A historically important camera made by Samuel Dunsheith McKellen, who presented his design for this revolutionary new camera at the annual exhibition of the Royal Photographic Society at 5a, Pall Mall, London, on Monday 5th October 1884. He was the first member to be awarded a gold medal for camera design. The initial patent was for: 1. A solid inset tripod head. 2. The world's first front folding arrangement, which later became universally adopted. 3. A double pinion focusing arrangement which allowed for the use of long and short focus lenses. RAITH ROVERS MEDAL 1908 Scottish Second Division Champions Medal awarded to John Ness of Raith Rovers who won the title by 3 points from Dumbarton and Ayr. The gold hall marked medal has the inscription on the reverse "S.F.L Championship 2nd Division won by Raith Rovers FC 1907-08 John Ness". Raith were the first Fife team to be elected to the Scottish Football League but they declined promotion despite winning the Second Division and they finished runners up in each of the next two seasons accepting promotion in 1909-10. SOUTHAMPTON 1899 Medal awarded to a Southampton Reserves player, 1898-99 for the team winning either the Hampshire League or the Hampshire Cup. Hall-marked with enamel Hants FA crest on the front and inscribed on the reverse. The crown is in gold and it comes with the original box. Southampton won both the Hampshire League and the Hampshire Cup in 1898-99 , so as the inscription states Hants FA "Senior |Tournament 1899", this medal seems sure to be a Southampton Medal. Good

WARTIME 1942 Scarce single sheet Dulwich Hamlet programme for game , British Army v Czechoslovak Forces, 7/3/42 at Dulwich, the British team was made up of amateur players including 3 from Walthamstow Avenue and others included White of Spurs and Hopper of Reading. The programme has two punch holes and is a little creased but condition is "Fair". Also included is a boxed rectangular medal inscribed on one side "Football Meetings of the Allied Armies In Great Britain , February-March 1941" and the other side is inscribed " The Czechoslovak Army to Its Friends In The Fight For Freedom." Comes in original box with name of manufacturer , Butler and Co, Birmingham noted inside the lid. This medal is from the Czech captain and organiser, Deutelbaum and was probably a medal that the Czechs presented to opposing teams. As described
