WW2 British Medal group of 1939-45 Star, Africa Star with North Africa 1942 - 43 Clasp, British War Medal and Defence Medal to 1162290 Clp CG Birkin RAF. Served with 203 Squadron. Complete with slip, box of issue and all original ribbons. In addition there is a portrait postcard of him in uniform, his RAF service and release book, letters, postcards, copy of the "Tobruk Truth" 3rd Jan 1942, and a hand written account of his service

Anon ANGLO-BOER WAR RECRUITING EFFIGY OF GENERAL LORD KITCHENER Circa 1900 A very lifelike fully uniformed figure of Lord Kitchener as he appeared in illustrations and photographs during the Anglo-Boer War (see "After Pretoria The Guerilla War" p445). The uniform and general's cap are made from Anglo-Boer War period khaki cloth, he wears a miniature. Sam Browne leather belt, brass buttons. The accurate uniform, medal ribbons and gorget patches on the tunic. The head is a very good likeness of Kitchener. Overall condition very fine.
Anon CHARACTER JUG OF FIELD MARSHAL J. C. SMUTS, PRIME MINISTER OF SOUTH AFRICA England: Royal Doulton, circa 1945 First edition. Head and shoulders of Smuts in uniform with helmet, in very good condition. Underneath the base of the jug is the legend 'Field Marshal, The RT Hon J. C. Smuts KC, CH, DTD, Prime Minister of the Union of South Africa and Commander-in-Chief, South African Forces'. and a pair of miniature World War II Medals mounted for wear as awarded to a member of the S. A. Forces: British War Medal 1939/45 and Africa Service Medal. (3)
Queen's South Africa Medal with Cape Colony Clasp Group of Four including The 1914-15 Star, War Medal and Victory Medal to TPR (Later Cpl) C.H.T. (Charles Henry Thorne) Webster, Brabant's Horse, then in WWI attached to the 4th Dismanted Rifles and then the 3rd S.A.I. In 1899, Brabant raised the Light Horse regiment known as Brabant's Horse. The top strength of the unit was 600, all ranks, including South African colonials, Australians, British, Canadians. The unit saw much action against Boer commandos. Brabant's Horse was disbanded in Cape Town on 31 December 1901. A incredibly scarce group.
