Both show service wear but generally in good condition. Two uniforms.

WW1 Casualty Victory Medal Sportsman Battalion Royal Fusiliers, medal was awarded to “STK-2066 PTE W S INWOOD R FUS”. Medal is missing its ribbon but remains in good overall condition. Private Walter Samuel Inwood was killed on 13th November 1916 and is buried Serre Road Cemetery No2, Somme, France. His prefix indicates service with the Stockbroker Battalion Royal Fusiliers, CWWGC lists him as serving with the 23rd (First Sportsman) Battalion Royal Fusiliers.

Lancashire Northern Rugby Football Union - A red and white rugby jersey with Lancashire N.R.U rose embroidered badge, together with an 1899 maroon velvet cap with rose and shield embroidered emblem, made by Joe Nicholl & J T Brown, Halifax, embroidered with the initials "H.K.", a 15ct yellow gold medallion cast with three lions on shield on a leaf cartouche, "Presented by The Lancashire County Football Union" on the front, the reverse "Northern Union County Championship won by Lancashire, H K Kruger, Half Back", hallmarked Birmingham, 1899, approximately 16 grams, and a hand coloured photograph of Henry Kruger wearing the jersey and cap.Henry Kruger was born in 1878 in Manchester but of Welsh parentage. His parents returned to Cardiff. He played rugby as half back for Llwynypia and then "went north" and played for Rochdale Hornets and Hull Kingston Rovers. R.N.R., together with certificate of service in and discharge from the Royal Navy. Date 26-5-1930 and wood boxed with a medal plaque "V. Johns"
A military cross (inc box of issue) group of five to captain R.R. Souper Royal Artillery. WWII medal and defence, 39/45 and France and Germany Stars. The group is mounted in a glazed frame along with the citation, letter, photo and press cutting. Captain Souper's Aunt married Doctor E.A. Wilson who was a member of The Scientific Staff, Surgeon, Artist and Zoologist of the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.Chief of Scientific Staff, Artist and Zoologist of the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-1913.Reached the South Pole 17th Jan 1912 and died with Captain Scott on the Great Ice Barrier, March 1912. With the group are several letters to and from museums (circa 1960's- 1970's) requesting the loan of pictures painted by Dr. Wilson of which were in the possession of Capn. Souper at the time. Much other ephemera relating to Dr. Wilson including a book "Diary of the Terra Nova Expedition to the Antarctic 1910-1912" by Edward Wilson (1972).
