Seringapatam medal, commissioned by the East India Company in 1801, was a Conrad Heinrich Küchler-designed military medal distributed to those soldiers who contributed to the British victory in the 1799 Battle of Seringapatam against the armies of Tipu Sultan, ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore.
VC interest - A Buffs East Kent Regiment Sports/ Drill Medal named to Pte W.R. Cotter. William Richard Cotter was born Folkestone Kent 1882, was a Corpl in the 6th Battalion with the on the 6th of March 1916 at Hohenzollern Redoubt he had his leg blown off, however he carried on for two more hours giving orders to his men (See criteria)

GEOFFREY CLARKE, R.A. [1924-2014]. Silver Jubilee [HRP], 1977. Brass sculpture / art medal [double-sided relief], 4.5 cm high. With original presentation box. Clarke was commissioned by HRP to produce this to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. Very rare – this is the only one we have ever seen. [good condition].
FRED KORMIS [1897-1986]. The CAIRD art medal [Sir James Caird]. 1984. bronze relief. Signed, 14 cm high. The Caird medal sculpture is presented once a year [from 1984 onwards] to the distinguished person giving the Caird lecture at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich and as such are extremely rare. Sir James Caird was one of the most important patrons of the museum and the library is named after him. Kormis sculpted many portraits, several of which are in the National Portrait Gallery and British Museum – he was also a fine figurative sculptor, particularly his prisoner of war memorials. EXTREMELY RARE. [good condition].

A large silver plated twin handled tureen and cover by William & George Sissons With gadrooned rim, scroll handle and acanthus scroll feet, engraved to one side with a boar's head crest and motto above an engraved military order of The Tower and of The Sword of Valor, Loyalty & Merit, a naval general service medal and another. 41 cm wide. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, expected wear.

F W Woodward, 3rd Canadian Infantry, comprising 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal, with the accompanying silver memorial cross and Canadian Expeditionary Force death certificate stating that Fred W Woodward was killed in action on 25th May 1915, a Masonic Medal by Dominian Regalia Co., Toronto and a silver vesta case initialled FW
Dated 6th September 1916 AD. Tapered body. Obv: incuse and reversed uniformed profile bust with ALBERT ROI DES BELGES legend in serifed capitals; stamped 6 9 16 on shoulder, with oval maker stamp 2 28 and [R?] WILL & SON BIRMINGHAM around, on side. 1.33 kg, 30mm face, 60mm tall. The diameter of this obverse would be suitable for a coin of 2 or 5 francs module but all Belgian currency coins of Albert use an unserifed font, as do his military medals (which also show a plain bust); this die could be either for a pattern coin during the First World War period or, perhaps, be for a commemorative medal. [No Reserve] Extremely fine; minor corrosion spots. Extremely rare.
19th century AD. Cross crosslet, with suspension loop. Obv: crown over CCI monogram at centre; cross arms hollowed with textured and oxidised background. Rev: plain. 1.08 grams, 17mm. This form of the Danube cross (Crucea Trecerea Dun?rii) was awarded to Russian soldiers who crossed the Danube in April 1877 during the War of Independence against Ottoman Turkey, 1877-1878; the cross was produced in large (normal medal size) form in steel. [No Reserve] Very fine.
Dated 1843 AD. Obv: crowned cipher of Wilhelm IV with ВБ / ВОСПОМИНАНІЕ in two lines below. Rev: ЦАРСКОЕ СЕЛО 1818 20.IЮНЯ 1843 БЕРЛИНЪ legend within wreath. 18.92 grams, 34mm. Diakov 570 (R4); Chep 434; Werlich 90. This medal is often mistakenly attributed to the 4th Kaluga Infantry Regiment. Extremely fine. Extremely rare (8 struck in silver-gilt).
1572 AD or later. Cast. Obv: profile bust with GREGORIVS XIII PONT MAX AN I legend. Rev: Victory holding cross and sword left with dead Huguenots right with VGONOTTORVM STRAGES 1572 legend. 8.77 grams. Queen Catherine de Medici ordered the slaying of up to 3,000 Huguenot protestants in Paris in 1572 and this event became known as the St Bartholomew's Day Massacre; Gregory XIII was her uncle and 'celebrated' the massacre with a medal. [No Reserve] Good fine.
