Five scarce silver & enamel cricket fob/medals c1900 - 1. presented to the winners of the 1st Alliance 1900 Season. Engraved to the front "Hessle Rd Primitives CC" with the initials "JWC" (standing for J W Cawkill) engraved on the front shield. Engraved to the reverse "Winners of 1st Alliance Season 1900". Assayed for Birmingham 1900 with makers initials "WJD". The Primitives were a faction of the Methodist movement founded by John Wesley. One of the prominent Primitive locations was Hessle Road, Hull. Very good condition. Measures 4cm in length. 2. Silver & enamel Hull & District Cricket Council Championship 1901. 3. A central enamel cartouche depicting a cricketer holding a bat and enamel scroll with "Hessle Rd Primitives CC". The reverse is engraved 1st XI Season 1900 J W Cawkill Batting Average". Assayed for Birmingham 1900 with makers initials "WJD". The Primitives were a faction of the Methodist movement founded by John Wesley. One of the prominent Primitive locations was Hessle Road, Hull. Excellent condition and in original box. Measures 4cm in length. 4. Rare silver and enamel medal for the 2nd XI League 1895 won by "Congos" (Congretional Church) Second and awarded to J W Cawkill. A super condition medal featuring crossed bats, stumps and ball. Likely to have been from the Hull area. In very good condition. Hallmarked with the lion, letter date "b" and the anchor. Makers initials "B.H.J." 5. Silver, dark blue enamel and rose gold medal for the Hull and District Cricket Council awarded to J.W. Cawkill in 1904. Crossed cricket bats to the front in rose gold and crest in silver set in enamel.
