A WWII medal pair, named to Pte M W Knapp, Bedfordshire Regiment, 39813, comprising Great War and Victory medals, Bedfordshire Regiment badges, District de St Omer Prix de Concours medal, together with handwritten pages detailing his enlistment, embarkation for France, arrival at base, and actions around Poppenhinge nr Ypres, aspects of active duty and camp life, and a 1916 shilling diary covering a period in 1918 when he was taken prisoner by the Germans, ending up in Chemnitz.

Soler' (lower left)oil on canvas19 1/2 x 24 in Juan Soler (Juan de la Cruz Lopez) was brought up in Barcelona and studied at various art schools in that city including the Escuela de Artes y Oficios, and later at the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Jorge. After that he worked in the studio of the artist Master Valls. In 1969 he won the silver medal at the Bienal de la Ciudad de Barcelona. Later in 1976 he won the Young Painter's Award at the Sala Pares in Barcelona. He has exhibited widely within Spain at galleries in Barcelona, Madrid, Lerida and Alicante and also the USA.

Jason, Highland Light Infantry, and World War II WAR AND DEFENCE Medals, 1939/45 and FRANCE and GERMANY STARS in Royal Artillery box of issue to Mr K. Clifford Juson of Leominster. Together with a box of Photographs depicting scenes at Belsen Concentration Camp after it's liberation and a miniature World War II German Dress Dagger.
A World War II medal group awarded to Flight Sergeant Ron Bryant of the RAF 102 Squadron, including 1939-45 War Medal, Defence Medal, 1939-45 Star and Air Crew Europe Star, together with his Air Gunners log book, and release book, his Stalag IV B identity tag, Third Reich arm band, air gunner and Third Reich badges, photographs of Ron Bryant including in front of a Halifax bomber, as a Prisoner of War, and as an actor in the POW camp, a cigarette card album celebrating Adolf Hitler, Caterpillar Club ephemera, other ephemera of Ron's subsequent career as a taxi driver (including an article on his wartime experiences) plus the telegram informing T.J. Bryant that his son is missing on operations 25/26 November 1943. Also his father's World War I 1914-18 and Victory Medals (Gunner T.J. Bryant R.A.) and his uncle's WWI medals (Pte. C.R. Bryant, East Surrey Regiment), Flight Sergeant Ron Bryant (b. 29/5/1923) joined the RAF in 1941 and from April 1943 trained as an Air Gunner. His first operation in a Halifax was on 30th August 1943 from RAF Pocklington to Gladbach. Further operations to Mannheim, Kassel and Berlin followed. On 25th November his bomber failed to return from operations to Frankfurt. Hit by flak over the target, two engines and controls were damaged and the crew bailed out at approximately 6,000 feet at 3.00 am. They crashed at Burgstadt (SE of Frankfurt) and were captured the next morning. Whilst interned at Stalag IV B, Muhlberg (the largest POW camp in Germany) Ron joined the theatre group in the camp and appeared in a number of productions (before the war he had been a choirboy). He was liberated by Soviet troops on 23 April 1945 and returned to London in June. He became a licensed London taxi driver in 1951 and retired in 1997.

A highly decorative presentation medal inscribed, '1000 Miles World Record and 24 Hours Irish Road Record', with blue-enamelled script 'Lawrence Fletcher Anfield Bicycle Club' to the front. Manufactured by Wright and retailed by Vaughton's, both of Birmingham, assayed 9ct gold with blue-enamelled script. Also, a 9ct gold assayed medal, inscribed on the rear, '50 miles - 2h 44m 12s, W. KINNERSLEY, comprising Military Cross, British War Medal, Victory Medal, Defence Medal and Special Constabulary Medal, together with MC box of issue, miniature group, British Legion badge, ARP badges, note book, various range tables and drill pamphlets, engineer's plans for two various Frist Army concrete or Pill Boxes, embarkation orders, citation etc, ARP, studio and unit photographs, 1916 dated Somme trench and sector fire map, dozen or more further trench maps, barrage maps, Field Service Regulations, Wellington's Men, a quantity of Postcards, his sword and various shell cases. Citation reads - For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in keeping the enemy at bay for a considerable time by laying over open sights whilst subjected to heavy rifle and machine gun fire. He succeeded in evacuating the wounded before retiring and passed through valuable information from time to time.
