Emil Zátopek; 19 September 1922 - 22 November 2000) was a Czechoslovak long-distance runner best known for winning three gold medals at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He won gold in the 5, 000 metres and 10, 000 metres runs, but his final medal came when he decided at the last minute to compete in the first marathon of his life. He was nicknamed the Czech Locomotive. Dana Zátopková, born 19 September 1922) is a Czech former javelin thrower. She won the gold medal for javelin in the 1952 Summer Olympics (only an hour after her husband, Emil Zátopek, won the 5, 000 m), and the silver medal in the 1960 Summer Olympics. She was the European champion in 1954 and 1958. She also set a world record in 1958 (55. 73 m) when she was 35, making her the oldest woman to break one in an outdoor athletics event. Good Condition. A King's South Africa medal (KSA) with South Africa 1901 and 1902 clasps to casualty 2651 PRIVATE JAMES DOCKING of the Norfolk Regiment. Later died of wounds aged 42 on 16th September 1916 while serving in the Suffolk Regiment in France as 3/9850 SERJEANT JAMES DOCKING 9th Bn. Suffolk Regiment. Son of John and Sophia Docking of King's Lynn. Enlisted in Saxmundham.
PASSCHENDAELE / LOCAL INTEREST: A WWI Memorial Plaque / Death Penny with 1914-15 medal trio awarded to casualty 15568 PRIVATE S LEEDER of the 8th Bn. Norfolk Regiment who died on 6th November 1917 aged 44. He was the son of Mrs Leeder of Memorial Cottages, Thelveton, Scole, Norfolk. The 8th Bn. Norfolk Regiment served in the Battle of Passchendaele and his burial site (Duhallow A.D.S. Cemetery) is located 8 miles from the battleground.

Dickson and Harriet, daughter of Admiral John Bourmaster. He joined HMS Minden at the East India Station whereby the ship bore a part at the Battle of Algiers - Britain and Netherlands' attempt to end slavery practices of Omar Agha, Day of Algiers, 1816
