The most excellent order of British Empire silver gilt badge, Military Division, Military Cross, 1914-15 Star, BWM, Victory with oak leaf emblem and Serbian Order of St Sava, silver gilt and enamelled BT Major (Capt, RAMC on Star) W.R. OLYMPIC FOOTBALL: A rare individually signed colour 10 x 8 photograph by all eleven members of the United States women's football team who won the Olympic Gold at the 1996 Summer Olympics, comprising Tiffeny Milbrett, Joy Fawcett, Julie Foudy, Michelle Akers, Brandi Chastain, Briana Scurry, Tisha Venturini, Kristine Lilly, Mia Hamm, Carla Overbeck and Shannon MacMillan. The image depicts the team standing and crouching in two rows on a football pitch. All have signed in bold black inks to the image, most adding their squad numbers beneath their signatures. Together with a signed colour 10 x 8 photograph by Tiffeny Milbrett, the image showing her being presented with her Olympic Gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Signed in black ink to a clear area of the image. EX, 2
OLYMPICS: Small selection of attractive individually signed First Day Covers issued for the Centennial Olympic Games, each signed by various Olympic medallists comprising Duncan Goodhew, David Wilkie, Adrian Moorhouse, Ken Matthews, Chris Boardman and Greg Searle. Each of the covers feature images (most colour) of the medallists and all have inset replicas of the gold medal issued in 1908 at the first Olympic Games held in Great Britain. All are post marked at Atlanta, 2nd May 1996 and again at various English cities etc., 9th July 1996. All are boldly signed to clear areas. VG to EX, 6
PATTI ADELINA: (1843-1919) Italian Opera Singer. A.L.S., Adelina Patti Cederstrom, three pages, 8vo, Craig y Nos Castle, Breconshire, South Wales, 23rd June 1911, to Miss. Morgan. Patti sends her correspondent and her sister thanks for a portrait medal of King George and Queen Mary which she will 'always greatly value in commemoration of June 22nd 1911 and also as a remembrance of your kindly thought of me'. Together with a vintage art nouveau postcard featuring a colour image of a young lady, signed ('Adelina Patti, Baroness Cederstrom') by Patti to a clear area and dated 1906 in her hand. The postcard possibly neatly trimmed, with one corner neatly clipped and some light overall age wear (G), the letter VG, 2 The Coronation of King George V (1865-1936) and Queen Mary (1867-1953) took place at Westminster Abbey on 22nd June 1911 and was celebrated by the Festival of Empire in London.
