Football - A 1906-7 Cumberland Football Association Cup Winner`s Medal, awarded to G. Brown of Workington A.F.C., the circular 9ct gold medal engraved to the reverse `Cup Winners / Workington A.F.C. / G. Brown`, with a suspension loop; a 1904-5 South Wales & Monmouth Football Association Senior Cup Winner`s Medal, the 9ct gold and enamelled medal unnamed, with suspension loop; a silver football cup winner`s medal, engraved `1913-14 / M.C.F.A. / Cup`; and a 9ct gold medal engraved to the reverse `F. Denmead / Club / Champion / 1925`, (4). Note: Workington A.F.C. was founded in 1884 and played friendly matches prior to the establishment of the Cumberland Cup in 1885. The club became a founder member of the Cumberland Association League in 1890, and from 1894 until 1901 played in the Cumberland Senior League. It then joined the Lancashire League for two seasons before returning to the Cumberland Senior League in 1903 and, one year later, embarking on a six year campaign in the Lancashire Combination.
