Early Irish Rugby Medal, 1885 Medal: Rugby: I.R.F.U. 1885. An attractive and scarce 9ct gold Medal, the obverse in cross form with shamrocks and overlay inscribed "Leinster Challenge Cup 1885," the reverse inscribed "Won by W.F.C. (Wanderers Football Club) F.W. Moore, Forward," Scarce. * This medal appears to be the earliest extant Medal awarded in Irish Rugby. F.R.W. Moore was the son of one of the founding fathers of Ireland's Botanical Gardens. He himself subsequently was curator, following on from his rugby career. (1)

An attractive 9ct gold Medal, the obverse with Celtic cross design and pierced shamrocks and typical motifs, the circular central panel with a heavy harp overlay, the reverse inscribed "G.A.A. - Dublin - Senior Football Championship 1901 - won by Emmett's, Bray," hallmarked. Unusual & Rare. (1) * Captained by David "Gush" Brady, this was Dublin's 7th Title in the All-Ireland Football Championship. The final didn't take place for the 1901's title till the 5th July 1903, Dublin beat Cork 1.2 to 0.4.

An attractive 9ct gold Medal, the shield shaped design with the obverse capitalised with crossed hurls, the central overlay depicting coat of arms surrounded by a garland of shamrocks, and inscribed "Ye Faire Citie," the reverse inscribed "Kilkenny Citizens to Patrick Saunders, All-Ireland Champion Hurler, 1904, '05, ' 07," hallmarked J.S., together with link chain, and later box. Power All-Ireland Medal Collection Kilkenny 1907 - 1913 Medals: G.A.A.: Hurling 1907 - 1913, a collection of three 9ct gold All-Ireland Medals, each obverse with Celtic cross design and typical motifs, with "Eire" across pierced centre and central harp overlay, each reverse inscribed as follows: (a) "All-Ireland Hurling C'ship 1907, won by Kilkenny, John T. Power"; (b) "All-Ireland Hurling C'ship, won by Kilkenny, 1911"; (c) "All-Ireland Hurling C'ship, won by Kilkenny 1913," Each hall marked H. & H. (Hopkins & Hopkins); together with a framed Certificate presented to John T. Power by the City of Kilkenny for the 1912 All-Ireland Championship, signed by John Magennis (Major) Joseph Purcell & others, and with the embossed Common Seal of the Confederate City. As a collection. Extremely Rare. · The 1907 Final was Kilkenny's 3rd All-Ireland title, and was played at Fraher Field Dungarvan, with the Cats beating Cork 3.12 to 4.8, the final was not played till June 21st, 1908. · The 1911 Final was the 25th Series of the Championship, and Kilkenny beat Tipperary 3.3 to 2.1 (in a "Substitute Final") The two previous fixtures arranged to play Limerick at Cork were cancelled due to a water logged pitch on the first occasion and Limerick's subsequent refusal to travel to the venue. Therefore a "Substitute Final" was arranged at Fraher Field, Dungarvan. · The 1912 Title was played at Jones' Road, in front of an attendance of 20,000, the Cats beat the Rebels 2.1 to 1.3 to claim two in a row. · The 1913 Final was Kilkenny's First Three in a row. Having beaten Lancashire in the semi the Cats beat Tipperary 2.4 to 1.2 at the newly named "Croke Park" in what was the First Ever 15 a side Final.
Clare's First All-Ireland Title 1914 All-Ireland Hurling Medal Medal: G.A.A. Hurling 1914. An attractive 9ct gold Medal of Celtic Cross design, the obverse with pierced centre and a harp overlay inscribed across centre "Eire" and "Cumann na gCleas - Luit Gaedhealach" on outer ring, the reverse inscribed "All-Ireland Hurling C'ship, won by Clare, 1914," hallmarked H. & H. (Hopkins & Hopkins). Extremely Rare. (1) * In 1914 Clare beat Laois in the 15th year of the Championship to claim their First All-Ireland Title. Captained by Amby Power, they won on a scoreline of 5-1 to 1.0. A very rare Medal.

An attractive 9ct gold circular Medal with pierced centre, enamelled coat of arms, overlay and various typical Celtic motifs, inscribed "C I na G - Craobh na Mumhan," the reverse "Ceannas Iomanuiochta na Mumhan - Sinnsear Corcaigh do buaidh 1931," hall marked W.E. (William Egan). Scarce. (1) * Cork beat Waterford 5.4 to 1.2 after the first game ended in a draw (1.9 to 4.0), Cork went on to eventually win, beating the Cats in a three match thriller.

Scarce. (1) * This was Kilkenny's second win in the competition's eight year, they beat Tipperary 4.2 to 3.3.

Scarce. (1) * On the 3rd of September 1939, just four hours after World War 2 was declared, both Jack Lynch (Cork) and Jimmy Walsh (K.K.) took to battle in a different sense, with the Cats winning 2.7 to 3.3, claiming their 12th title.

(John Miller). Scarce. (1) * Kilkenny beat Offaly at O'Connor Park on a scoreline of 5.2 to 3.6.
A silver Betel Nut Box and Cover, mid 19th century, in the form of a butterfly alighting on a gourd, the sides engraved with endless knots and shou, in three divisions for betel nut, lime and paan leaf, stamped Shu wu, zu wen, xiang, dents, wear, 8.8cm By repute this box was looted from the Summer Palace by Captain Bryan Charles Fairfax of the Durham Light Infantry. With the lot is a manuscript note apparently listing the items, including the box, to be given to Christopher Firth by Fairfax. Col. Bryan Charles Fairfax CMG (1873-1950) Colonel Fairfax, the second son of the late Col. T F Fairfax, was born on 12 September 1873 and was educated at Winchester and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Promoted to Captain in 1900, he went to China with the expeditionary force sent to deal with the Boxer Rebellion and served with the 1st Chinese Infantry Regiment at the relief of Peking and other engagements, receiving the medal with clasp. After a distinguished military career, he retired to his native Yorkshire, where he indulged in his favourite pursuit of hunting and was also known as a horse breeder and trainer of repute.
