DCM L/G 1/1/1918, MID L/G 4/1/1917. DCM citation reads 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty when in charge of the column workshops. The very high standard of work turned out has been largely due to his personal supervision and untiring energy, and his devotion to duty has set a fine example to all the artificers'.
