Verdun", with photo of recipient and with six awards: Victory medal, Ribbon for the wounded bearing the unofficial red star on gilt medallion, Croix de Guerre with bronze star to ribbon for regimental dispatch, Combattant's Cross, Verdun commemorative with Verdun clasp and WWI commemorative medal. Outer frame size approx 23¼" x 27". VF £60-80
France: a printed panel (or handkerchief) stating "Souvenir De Salonique" and showing line drawing of Zeppelin LZ85's skeletal frame, beneath appears the text "Le squelette du Zeppelin L.Z.85 de 135m de Long, Abattu par les Allies dans ta Nuit du 4 au 5 Mai 1916 et Expore pres la tour Blanche a Salonique", a border of pansy flowers surrounds, in a frame (approx 14" x 14" worn) with a French Croix de Guerre 1914-15 with bronze star emblem to ribbon affixed to the panel. The medal VF, Zeppelin L.Z 85 was brought down by HMS Agamemnon's shell fire. £50-60

Thomas Benjamin Kennington (England, France, 1856 - 1916) French River painting with figures. Likely Seine River (Paris, France). Oil on Canvas. Signed lower right. trained in art at the Liverpool School of Art (winning a gold medal), the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London, and the Acad?mie Julian in Paris, where he studied under Bougereau and Robert-Fleury. He later moved to Chelsea in London. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, London from 1880?1916, and also regularly showed his work at the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) in Suffolk Street and the Grosvenor gallery. He was a founder member and first secretary of the New English Art Club (from 1886), and also founded the Imperial Arts League. Sight Size: 11.5 x 15.5 in. Overall Size: 19.5 x 23.5 in.

'Larnaca', for having rescued the crew of ten men belonging to the barquentine 'Alfred' in a gale of wind off the coast of Portugal on the 12th instant, with the certificate dated 29th August 1895. The medal is mistakenly engraved 'Capt. C. J. KITTEY'.
