§ Leigh Parry, RBA, SEA (British, 1919-2017) Kensington Palace with Jogger signed lower right "Leigh Parry" and inscribed "Kensington Palace" watercolour 56 x 74cm (22 x 29in) Exhibited: The Mall Galleries, 17 Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1 Other Notes: Leigh Parry was born in London and went to St. Martin’s School of Art, first showing with the Royal Society of British Artists at the original true RBA gallery in Suffolk Street in 1953, at the Manchester Academy in the same year and at the old Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours Gallery in Piccadilly one year later. Leigh Parry was a Senior member and Trustee of the Pastel Society UK (President 1983-1988) initiating the renaissance of that Society during those years after a fallow period; a member of the Society of Equestrian Artists; an Honorary Member of the Pastel Society of Canada and a member of The Royal Society of British Artists being elected to Honorary Treasurer in 1993. He served on the Board of Governors of the Federation of British Artists from 1983-1986. He won a number of awards in the Societies including the Cuneo Medal in the Society of Equestrian Artists, struck in the name of the late President Terence Cuneo. Condition is fine.
§ Stephen Bone, NEAC (British, 1904-1958) Whitby oil on board 24 x 33 cmExhibited: Sheffield City Art Gallery (old label refers)Other Notes: Stephen Bone enrolled at the Slade School of Fine Art in 1922, however he became disillusioned with the Slade and left in 1924 to begin illustrating books, with woodcuts, for his mother and other writers. In 1925 he was awarded the Gold Medal for Wood Engraving at the International Exhibition in Paris. In 1926 he was the subject of a joint exhibition at the Goupil Gallery, alongside Rodney Joseph Burn and Robin Guthrie, and in 1928 he painted a mural for the Underground station at Piccadilly Circus. In 1929 Bone married the artist Mary Adshead and they had two sons and a daughter. The couple travelled extensively across Britain and Europe.During the 1930s, Bone exhibited at the Fine Art Society, at the Lefevre Gallery, the Redfern Gallery and in 1936 exhibited a series of 41 paintings of British counties at the Ryman Gallery in Oxford. During 1936 and 1937 he painted and exhibited in Stockholm.CONDITION: Perhaps a little dirty but fine

1865 Bristol West of England & South Wales Industrial Exhibition Medal with bust of Right Honourable Viscount Palmerston K.G. G.C.B. M.P and P.G to one side and the other with text within laurel wreaths reading Born Oct 20th 1784 Died October 13th 1865. Together with a vintage ( hammered ) double sided / headed penny. Measures 4.5 cm diameter.
