A large circular intaglio depicting the reverse side of the Napoleonic bronze medal with a seated emperor and a woman wearing a civic crown and a putti guiding a ship and watching a star above, the symbol of Paris. 6.5cm. An allegorical scene of France succumbing to Britain being overseen by Justice. Also an agate intaglio, a small glass intaglio depicting a gryllus, an intaglio carved with initials and a plaster cast.

He won the RIBA Gold Medal in 1986. Murrell-Talbot and WWII Defence medal (un-named) 'Edwin Reginald Murrell-Talbot, was attached to the 2/4th Btn York and Lancaster Regiment, London Gazette 1st Feb 1919, states 'This Officer gallantly led his platoon forward at Favrincourt on 12th September 1918 in the face of intense shell and machine gun fire, several times the advance was held up by Enemy Gun - points on each occasion he went round with a few men and captured the posts and several prisoners, original tag is engraved E R M Talbot KKCG. 221/1 2/4(H) York and Lancaster Regiment
