A Great War Distinguished Conduct Medal, British War and Victory Medals to 63272 Pte J Yarker, 2 / W York R (pair York R), together with Army Form 22 (A) award approval document, and a facsimile autograph note in the hand of Joe Yarker stating the award was for action at "Cobenham [?] on the attack from Arras-Douai". [London Gazette 12 March 1919]
A trepanning "plug" taken from an unexploded Second World War Luftwaffe Esau aerial bomb, bearing labels reading ASAU, Ford Square, Whitechapel, London, 10 cm diameter, together with related press cuttings [The core was recovered by Warrant Officer Nigel Daly, 33 Explosive Ordnance Division, Royal Engineers, during the 1989 de-fusing of the bomb. The previous year Daly had been awarded the Queens Gallantry Medal for his part in a similar operation]

Minted from 1530 in Jáchymov and later in other German mints (e.g. Freiberg) on the occasion of jubilee reformation festivals, especially in 1617, 1717 and 1730. These Thalers were not only minted but also cast. Some of them were made of bronze and the hinge on the upper part testifies it was worn as a medal.Condition A.

Medallion: British East India Company, cased bronze John Borthwick Gilchrist, by Carl Friedrich Voight, decorated bust and 'Born 1759 Died 1841' to obv with angel and three children to rev, 57.15mm, 113g approximately.Gilchrist was a Scottish surgeon, linguist and author. Condition Report: Some very minor scratching and rubbing to medal, case in good order for age with some scuffing and rubbing evident to exterior, interior good.
