Medals: a pair comprising The Queen's Sudan 1896-98 to 3953 Pte. T.W. Douglas, 1st Lincolnshire Regt. and The Khedive's Sudan 1896-1908, with The Atbara bar, to 3953 Pte. T.W. Douglas, 1st Lincolnshire Regt., housed in a fitted wooden case, the sliding cover inscribed "Pte C. (sic) Douglas, No. 3953, D. comp, 1st Linc. Regt. Trichinopoly"; together with the soldier's Account Book / Pocket Ledger, his Certificates of Discharge from the Regulars dated 1902 and the Reserves dated 1906, a photograph of a troop ship inscribed verso by the soldier "leaving the ....at Shelal for a 24 hours ride to Cairo" and a studio photograph, presumably of Pte. Douglas in wrestler's pose wearing a leopard skin; together with a Princess Mary Christmas tin 1914 containing a small group of cap and other badges including the Lincolnshire Regt., a prayer book etc., all contained in a wooden box modelled as a book inscribed "T.W. Douglas, Boer Camp, Trichonopoly, S. India". Note: Private Douglas was born in London and enlisted in 1894 going on to serve in Egypt for four years and a short period of time in India during which period he presumably had the medal case and box made prior to being shipped back home. He died in 1932,

Football Leslie Mark Hughes, OBE born 1 November 1963) is a Welsh former football manager and player. During his playing career he usually operated as a forward or midfielder. He had two spells at Manchester United, and also played for Barcelona and Bayern Munich, as well as the English clubs Chelsea, Southampton, Everton and finally Blackburn Rovers. He made 72 appearances for Wales scoring 16 goals. He won a host of winners' medals during his playing career, including two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and two European Cup Winners' Cups. He also collected an FA Cup runners up medal and a League Cup runners up medal. Hughes was the first player to win the PFA Players' Player of the Year award twice, in 1989 and 1991.
